Along with his late brother Dan and Dr. Harold Karpman, Dr. Bleifer is one of the founding members of the Cardiovascular Medical Group of Southern California. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco and completed residencies at UCSF, the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He served for many years as director of the Division of Cardiology at Brotman Medical Center. He has published over 60 peer reviewed papers and presentations on a wide variety of topics in cardiology, as well as three chapters in text books on cardiology. He is a sought after expert witness and legal consultant. Recognized as one of “America’s Top Doctors,” he is a renowned master of all aspects of clinical and consultative cardiology.
