Dr. Bhatia received his college and medical school degrees from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He completed his internship and residency at the University of California, San Francisco and his cardiology fellowship at the Brigham & Womens’ Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts, primarily in echocardiography and transplant cardiology. He is an expert in all aspects of echocardiography, including stress echo and transesophogeal echocardiography, and has an outstanding reputation in internal medicine and clinical and consultative cardiology.
