President and CEO of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation of Southern California and Founder and Senior Partner of the 17-member Cardiovascular Medical Group of Southern California. He is a Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Dr. Karpman is widely published with more than 150 publications to his credit, including original articles in both peer reviewed medical journals and text books. He is the author of “Your Second Life” and “Preventing Silent Heart Disease.” He currently serves on the editorial board of Internal Medicine Alert. He is well recognized for his expertise in cardiology, cardiovascular networking, and in cardiovascular research, as well as for his considerable contributions in legislative activities in Washington, DC, concerned with medical affairs.
